Moco (short for Monitoring Consortium), is a group of social and geographical scientists. Because they work with a lot of professional clients, Moco decided they needed a good logo. And that’s where I came in.
Moco wants to be known for being constantly aware. They are keeping their eyes open and publish about what they find. The iconic eyes in the Moco logo communicate this attitude. I’ve drawn the characters in this logo in a minimalistic way. This contributes to communicating the sharpness and professionalism of the research performed by the consortium.
After a period of logo sketching, I’ve created five design directions (concepts) for Moco to review. During an internal voting session, they decided to go with the one that is pictured above.
