The autonomous delivery pod is designed to be part of an integrated system of small, robot-like vehicles that deliver parcels to people.
With funding from TU Delft, I was asked to design and build a functioning (remote controlled) prototype to compare current human parcel deliveries to robotic parcel deliveries.
The prototype features modular containers in different sizes with drawers in them, which contain the parcels. The video showcases the reactions of consumers when meeting the parcel delivery robot for the first time.

NFC terminals are placed inside all modular parcel containers, to facilitate easy access to the parcels by the recipients. The locks can be opened by phone or by traditional access cards.
